The Official Content Schedule for Wiseguy Caps
Since the recent launch of my new business model, I've been working diligently to create a schedule that allows for both maximum content and output. Between picks and game analysis on college football, NFL, FCS, CFL (FML), poker tournaments, my social media channels, blogging, the podcast, doing interviews, managing merch, my sponsors, and many more daily tasks, it only makes sense to have a little structure mixed in with all the chaos.
This is why I've outlined a schedule that at least makes sense to me, and what you can expect moving forward. With the new business change and considering I'm a one man band, I figured it's only fair to give you the right expectations on what the near future will look like.
That said, this is the outline that I will do my best to follow:
Blogs: I will try to post at least one unique blog a day. This brand revolves around sports betting, gambling, poker, and horse racing, but don't always expect these blogs to be related. I'll use this as my single lane to rant or riff on whatever the hell I feel like.
Daily Quick Picks: I used to label these "Free Betting Picks" but I changed it to the much-snappier and rhyming Daily Quick Picks (or DQ Picks for short). I am constantly looking at the board trying to find edge, and because of that, there are games I can pluck off the board and stick right in my wallet. On a daily basis, I will be releasing usually 2-4 DQ Picks. These are posted on the home page and have their own menu button on the site. Each pick released comes with a little analysis, but it's certainly not an in-depth conviction on why it's a good bet.
They are picked off my expertise/gut-feel and have historically been profitable. I'll plan to add in a live tracker or graph to show the overall UTD (units to date) to keep a transparent outlook. These picks are usually posted first thing in the morning or the night before and if you'd like them sent straight to your inbox on a daily basis, make sure to submit your email into our subscription link in the footer of the website.
VIP Picks: Historically, you had to pay to get access to these. My VIP picks are the bread and butter of what's made Wiseguy Caps so successful over the years. These will be posted less frequently because they are based on only select games that I like. That said, I've decided to open the floodgates and give these out for free as well.
On these picks, I give a much more in-depth pre-game analysis that provide a convicting reason on why I believe it's the correct pick. Again, I will provide a UTD tracker for transparency, but buckle in, because these pick reports are on fucking fire. In addition to my focus on CFB games that I like best, I will also be providing VIP picks for every single Monday, Thursday, and Sunday Night Football game. As these are often the only thing on, it makes sense to have analysis for each one.
Barry The Books Podcast: My recent podcast has gained quite a bit of steam, and I've really grown into it 6 episodes in. I've kind of just been ranting about whatever, my life, the story of Wiseguy Caps, poker, etc... but I will be providing a little more structure to this now. I will plan to record and release episodes every Thursday and every Sunday night.
The Thursday night show will consist of my upcoming analysis for the weekend's picks. Sunday will more-so be a total recap show. And of course, I will continue to add topics that dive into my personal life and the chaotic storm of everything going on. I will also be looking to release interviews which may be their own special-edition episodes, or I'll simply tie them into the regular cadence - or both.
Journey to the 2027 WSOP Main Event: For those that have been keeping up, I decided about a month ago that I was going to learn how to become an expert poker player -- so much so that I will generate enough bankroll to buy-in the main event at next year's WSOP ($10K). My YouTube page is where most of this content will exist, as you can watch me claw and fight my way up the ranks. I will live stream tournaments both online and in-person, along with added poker content for fun. There is no set schedule for my self-induced poker tour, but I will try to squeeze in as much as I can. Follow me on X for updates to my live streams, which I will try to plan ahead of time.
Social Media: I am always posting on X, and will soon be positing consistently on TikTok. I encourage you to follow/subscribe at those platforms (including my YouTube channel) -- all of the handles are @wiseguycaps
Merch: Because of this new "free" model, I am of course eating a ton of costs and spending ungodly amounts of time to provide everything and more on this list. Of course I will make money betting, but I could do that without the need to create all this content. To offset the costs/time spent, I am relying on merch and sponsorships to get me to where I need to be. I'm actively in talks to finalize a few partnership deals, but I will continue to drop Wiseguy Caps merch along with additional categories that will organically come up over time. Any purchase helps and I greatly appreciate your support.
I'm not going to say that all of this is entirely set in stone, but it's the structure I've built that I believe makes the most sense and can remain manageable. Of course, if things take a drastic turn, I will keep everybody informed. Plus in this life, sometimes shit just happens, so cut me some slack.
